Shubhanshu Shukla, an Indian Air Force (IAF) officer and ISRO astronaut, has been selected as the pilot for Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4), marking a significant milestone in India’s space exploration journey.

About Axiom-4 Mission (Ax-4)

  • Ax-4is the fourth private astronaut missionto the International Space Station (ISS), organized by Axiom Space in collaboration with NASA and SpaceX.
  • The mission will launch aboard a SpaceX Dragon spacecraftfrom NASA’s Kennedy Space Centerin Florida.
  • Once docked, the crew plans to spend up to 14 daysaboard the ISS, conducting scientific experiments, technology demonstrations, and educational outreach activities.
