The Department of Land Resources (DoLR) has launched Phase 2 of capacity-building under the NAKSHA Programme to upskill officials in urban land surveying. The training is being conducted across five Centres of Excellence in India.
This move strengthens India’s push for digitized, transparent, and efficient urban land management under the broader umbrella of Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP).

NAKSHA stands for National Geospatial Knowledge-based Land Survey of Urban Habitations.
It is a city survey initiative aimed at enhancing urban land governance using geospatial technologies.
